Have a “berry” fun time at the 83rd annual Middle Tennessee Strawberry Festival in downtown Portland (100 South Russell Street, Portland). On Friday, enjoy the Strawberry Jam Concert & Fireworks featuring the Ultimate Garth Brooks Tribute from 5 – 9 p.m. On Saturday, enjoy 175+ vendors, Portland Rotary pancake breakfast, Strawberry Stride 5K, multiple music stages, KidTown USA (all day play for $5), magic shows, robocars, bingo, strawberry farmers, mascot race and the parade at 4 p.m. to end the day!

This free-admission fest will feature the best in local pet-product vendors plus pup-tastic activities for all. Humans can enjoy beer tastings or grab a pint in the craft beer courtyard, sip a Pickers Vodka or Tincup cocktail from the bar, play lawn games, and grab a bite to eat from tasty local food trucks. Don’t have a pup? There will be adoptable pets onsite. Bar proceeds benefit the Nashville Humane Association, so every sip counts.


7. SUNDROP FESTIVAL

Pulaski, TN | June 8, 2024

The annual SunDrop Fest in downtown Pulaski features music, food, and vendors from 1 – 11:45 p.m. In addition, the fest includes a variety of activities for all ages exploring local music and arts, history and culture. Pulaski is the home of Sundrop Bottling which makes the Southern soda Sundrop. It was also made popular by race car driver Dale Earnhardt and others.

The Tomato Art Fest is a festival and art show celebrating the tomato during late summer. The festival is FREE and takes place in East Nashville’s trendy Five Points area. There are multiple stages throughout the area, hosting free music for everyone to enjoy.


National Banana Pudding Festival | Dessert festival in Centerville | Where? What? When?

15. NATIONAL BANANA PUDDING FESTIVAL

Downtown Centerville | October 5 – 6, 2024

Enjoy two fun-filled days of entertainment on two stages, arts, crafts, food, games, activities for kids of all ages and — of course — Banana Pudding! Stroll through the Puddin’ Path and taste different banana puddings made by local non-profit organizations. Takes place at the Hickman County AG Pavilion and Fairground (979 Grinders Switch Rd., Centerville). Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 5 – 18 (free for kids under 5).
