Kidsville Outdoors in the Park

Kidsville celebrates the outdoors in Centennial Park (2500 West End Ave., Nashville) on select Saturdays! Due to the temporary Parthenon closure, Kidsville’s regular Saturday programs will get closer to nature by moving to park’s outdoor playground area. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m., program begins at 11 a.m.
Upcoming Dates:
- June 20, 2026: Come explore the outside delights of Centennial Park and the pollinators that help it blossom with a reading of the book, Flower Talk by Levine and D’yans then make flower puppets.
- June 27, 2026: Come explore the outside delights of Centennial Park and create art with paint made of flowers and mud as part of the celebrations of Pollinator Month and Mud Day in June. We will read the book, Flowers are Calling by Rita Gray at storytime.
NOTE: Events will be cancelled if temperature is below freezing or there is more than a light rain.
Full Activity Schedule:
- 10:30 – 11:20 AM: Free entry to Parthenon for Kidsville
- 10:30 AM – Kidsville activity stations open for play.
- 11:00 AM – Storytime or special guest programming in front of the statue of Athena.
- 11:45 AM – Kidsville activity stations close.
What to Expect:
Activity Stations: Explore hands-on activities between 10:30 AM and 11:45 AM. Let your kids dive into fun and discovery at their own pace.
Storytime: Gather in front of the Athena statue at 11:00 AM for storytime and an arts and crafts activity inspired by the book. We usually wrap up by 11:30 AM.
Important Info for Parents:
Arrival Time: Come between 10:30 AM and 11:20 AM to receive free Parthenon admission for everyone attending Kidsville. The program begins promptly at 11:00 AM and lasts for approximately 30 minutes.
Shared Space: Kidsville at the Parthenon shares space with Parthenon guests.
Registration: Registration is required and may be done online in advance or at the Parthenon beginning at 10:30 AM. We highly recommend registering in advance to skip the line and make your entry smoother.
