Where Every Family Matters

FSD Welcomes Families for Open House Nov. 6

Participants will see firsthand how the curriculum is paced to provide each student with opportunities for success.

If you are new to the area, thinking of moving, considering a school change or want to see for yourself the programs Franklin Special District public schools offer, come by any of its schools for a special Open House throughout the day on Friday, November 6.

Each Open House is scheduled during the school day so prospective parents can see the school in operation and witness the teaching and learning environment. This is a great opportunity to meet principals, visit classrooms, tour the building and learn about the academic, related arts, enrichment and extracurricular offerings in each school.

Schedule:

8 a.m. – 1 p.m.

  • Freedom Intermediate
  • Freedom Middle
  • Poplar Grove Elementary
  • Poplar Grove Middle

9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

  • Franklin Elementary
  • Johnson Elementary
  • Liberty Elementary
  • Moore Elementary

On this day, the FSD’s Performing Arts Center will also be open for visitors to tour from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Prospective families will see how the district emphasizes the whole child, highlighting the district’s strong academic education, along with instruction in the fine arts (general music and art), related arts (physical education, computer science, aerospace) and the performing arts (chorus, theater, dance).

We hope families will take advantage of this Prospective Family Open House, designed to showcase the many ways Franklin’s public schools are providing exceptional education to students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade.

Enrollment for students outside the FSD:

If you live outside the FSD, your children are welcome too! Please see the registration page to learn about FSD’s low tuition-based enrollment here.
