After a long five-month closure, AMC Theatres is reopening to moviegoers.
Starting on Thursday, August 20, more than 100 AMC U.S. locations will reopen, including two locations in the Nashville area — AMC Thoroughbred 20 and AMC Stones River 9.
An additional 300 AMC locations around the country are expected to open during the following two weeks, leading up to the release of Disney’s The New Mutants on August 28 and Warner’s Bros.’ Tenet on September 3.
AMC is celebrating its history with a throwback event called “Movies in 2020 at 1920 Prices.” For the first time in five months, moviegoers can enjoy being in front of the big screen (for one day only) with 1920 ticket prices.
On August 20, all tickets at AMC will be priced at 15 cents, plus sales tax. AMC currently expects to open approximately two-thirds of its more than 600 U.S. theater locations.
The remainder of AMC’s U.S. theaters will open only after authorized to do so by state and local officials. To find out when your local AMC location will open, click here.
The one-day 15-cent ticketing celebration kicks off several promotions that guests will find as they return to AMC around the country.
