Your local library encourages kids to keep reading in June and July during the 2019 Summer Reading Program. This year’s theme is “A Universe of Stories.” Kids can set reading goals and earn prizes for reaching them.

In addition, libraries host several events, including special storytimes, activities, workshops and guest appearances. Among this year’s guests are children’s artist Rachel Sumner, Mr. Bond's Science Guys, balloon artist Scott Tripp, puppet shows, and rocket building and launching with Mr. Rich of Super Science.
