Cirque Italia Water Circus

Cirque Italia Water Circus Splashing Into Gallatin

A European-style circus β€” complete with dazzling performances amid spraying water β€” comes to town in March.

The circus is coming to town and not just any circus, mind you … The Cirque Italia Water Circus is bringing its Gold Unit to Tennessee! A European-style circus with water, the traveling circus will be mounting their giant white-and-blue tent in Gallatin at the Sumner County Fairgrounds March 14 – 17 with a water stage at center. Cirque Italia’s traveling stage holds 35,000 gallons of water for acrobats, contortionists and more to perform over and around. Inspired by the element of water, the performers express fluidity through human movement while curtains of rain and fountain jets crisscross in time to each move. Laser lights and bubbles also add to the interdimensional effect. In a nod to the inner child, mermaids rise from the depths, and even dinosaurs make an appearance.

Note that the water stage is not a tank and performers will not be immersed in water. Rather, the water surrounds performances, illuminated by assorted colors of lighting. Cirque Italia’s 2024 Gold Show includes a 1950’s theme complete with Elvis Presley on the airwaves.
