Climbing for Homeschoolers

Physical fitness and confidence boosting are great byproducts of rock climbing, and Nashville's top spot has a program just for homeschool students.

Climbing comes naturally to kids, and Climb Nashville seeks to encourage and expand that enthusiasm with its Homeschool Program beginning Thursday, Jan. 5.

Homeschool students in grades 1 – 12 can participate in this program that focuses on helping them set goals and plans for achieving them using skills and abilities like belaying, rock climbing, movement, dealing with fears, trusting others and physical fitness. Climbing helps kids build self-confidence and take on personal responsibility, both great assets.

Sessions take place every Thursday from 1 – 3 p.m. at the West location (3600 Charlotte Ave.). Cost is $89.99 per month ($119.99 per month includes membership). Students can sign up any time.
