Currey Ingram Academy offers seven unique camp offerings for Summer 2023.
CIA's summer camps are designed to bring out the best in our campers! Our counselors are dedicated to inspiring campers to reach their full potential daily. No matter their level of experience, we aim to encourage the participation of all campers in activities.
Our smaller camp size allows counselors and campers to get to know each other personally while keeping your children safe and providing a more individualized experience. We have a camp that will excite and challenge campers with various interests.
We encourage you to review each camp page in further detail.
The ADHD Summer Treatment Program is an intensive six-week summer treatment program for students ages 8-12 with ADHD. The STP focuses on developing self-awareness, self-regulation, and social skills while incorporating recreational, age-appropriate games and group activities. STP is one of only 15 programs like it in the country.
The ASD Summer Treatment Program recognizes that individuals diagnosed with ASD represent an extensive range of unique strengths, needs, and personalities and honors this through individualized goal creation and strengths-focused interventions. During the two-week program, students will build confidence, add to their social skills repertoire, boost their emotional well-being, and appreciate the wonder of neurodiversity.
Camp Beech Creek is a day camp that runs Monday through Friday and is open to any rising kindergartner through rising sixth grader. Campers can participate in an elective during the morning and traditional camp activities in the afternoon, such as creek exploration and arts and crafts.
Sports camps are open to rising third through eighth graders. Mustang Athletics Sports Camps are focused on each camper's skill level and are run by knowledgeable, well-trained coaches. Coaches match a program that develops the athlete's knowledge, skills, and confidence in each sport.
The Reading Intensive program allows campers in rising grades 1-5 to work with our faculty members on reading skills over four weeks. Instruction will focus on maintaining, retaining, and generalizing reading-related skills.
Workforce Readiness and Preparation (WRaP)is a program co-developed with the Frist Center for Autism and Innovation for students ages 15 to 20 on the autism spectrum. The program is designed to teach social and teamwork skills needed for success in the workplace.
The Writing Intensive program is intended to extend the school year for students in rising grades 4-8 who would benefit from the targeted intervention in the skills that contribute to written expression development. Instruction will focus on critical areas that support the writing process, including grammar, mechanics, and sentence structure; handwriting and keyboarding fluency; and genre-specific strategy instruction.
The Summer Math program is open to rising fifth and sixth-grade Currey Ingram students; this summer program is designed to strengthen each student's foundational math skills to be better prepared for Middle School math.
Roll for It! Dungeons and Dragons
It's one of the fastest-growing hobbies amongst preteens and teens. It's Dungeons & Dragons! But D&D is just the tip of the iceberg. The world of tabletop roleplaying games has existed for decades, and it's coming back in a big way. Now's your chance to get in on the action. This camp will focus on character creation, world-building, and epic storytelling. Guaranteed to satisfy the epic fantasy-obsessed and dice goblins alike, join your adventuring party as we solve puzzles, escape dungeons, and maybe.... just maybe defeat dragons! (We might even fight them in space too. Only one way to find out!)
If you have any questions or want more information, please reach out to camps@curreyingram.org. We are looking forward to a fun-filled summer!
