At Deer Run, kids are free to HAVE FUN and BE ADVENTUROUS. They are free to UNPLUG and CONNECT. We make it a priority to actively engage each camper and create an environment in which they are free to have fun and enjoy the outdoors. No matter what activity they are taking part in — whether it be canoeing on Spring Valley Lake, going up the climbing tower, playing group games on the field or singing fun camp songs — these experiences are an opportunity to be encouraged and connect with other campers and the counselors.

Campers feel known. Our counselors and staff are the heart of Deer Run and a large part of what makes your child’s experience amazing. They honestly love spending time with kids. They listen with understanding and genuinely get to know each camper. Deer Run campers do not get lost in the crowd. Smaller camper groups allow campers to form authentic relationships; in fact, many campers are greeted by name year after year by returning counselors.
