Make this the summer of music with School of Rock and our variety of camps for all ages and skill levels! Your child will gain not only musical proficiency but also an introduction to a set of skills that will stick with them for the rest of their lives. We do this through a variety of engaging programs and experiences that are curated through the School of Rock curriculum. Programs this summer include a new songwriting curriculum, group recording sessions, master classes, and special themes just for our performance camps. Themes include Pop Legends, 21st Century Indie, New Metal, and much more!
At School of Rock, it’s more than just teachers and students. We are building the world’s most passionate community of performers and musicians. We believe enrichment begins with an exceptional experience for our students and our biggest form of enrichment is the performance program! Through this, our students are practicing not only their musical set of skills, but also their social and developmental skills as well. Here is a breakdown of the different types of camps we offer:
Songwriting/Audio Engineering - Through this special 5-day songwriting/audio engineering camp, students will learn how to write their own songs and record their own demos. They will learn about chord progressions, arrangements and other tricks of the trade, while also learning the fundamentals of recording and production that can be applied to any type of home studio setup. This is a music camp for instrumentalists and vocalists 12-17 years of age who have some proficiency with their instrument and are looking to expand into the world of music production and recording.
Performance Based Camp - Our week long performance camps are a shortened version of what we normally do year round at School of Rock! Based on the theme for the week you have signed up for, students will come and learn songs on their preferred instrument to then perform at the end of the week. Depending on the age range, other activities will include musical games, theory lessons, presentations on the music’s history, etc.
Master Class - Drums - Our master class for Summer of 2025 is DRUMS! Your student will be learning anything and everything they can about this instrument from our very own School of Rock drum instructors. We'll be diving deep into history, working on reading drum charts/making your own charts, learning songs, and more! This camp is best suited for those 10-17 years of age and who have had prior instruction.
