Founded in 2004, The Gardner School is a supportive learning environment for children ages 6 weeks through 5 years old. Our research-based curriculum supports every child’s emerging sense of self while encouraging intellectual growth, exploration, and socialization.
The Gardner School is proud to be a part of the Nashville community and opened its first Nashville campus in 2005. Since then, three additional schools (Brentwood, Midtown, and Franklin) have opened in the area.
The Gardner School believes each child should be provided with experiences that build resilience and confidence, which is essential for every single stage of development. This approach ensures that each child’s learning at The Gardner School will provide them with the educational foundation for a bright future. The Gardner School offers a year-round early childhood education program in a stimulating and educationally engineered space that includes beautiful indoor and outdoor playscapes, state-of-the-art classrooms, a Kids’ Café and an enrichment studio, a S.T.E.A.M. lab, and a private nursing room.
Children and parents will feel at home from the moment they enter the doors at The Gardner School. Our learning atmosphere includes a careful blend of educational styles to reach every child. Each day’s routine is centered around curriculum-based lessons, child-directed activities, and open-ended play. Friendships and social-emotional skills grow in the kind and safe environment we create for our students.
We are proud to have talented teachers who are passionate about our students’ growth. Each school is staffed by creative, highly qualified, and caring teachers, and our entire team is dedicated to connecting with our students. We help students identify their interests, support their curiosity, and encourage them to find their gifts and talents.
Teachers also build strong relationships with children and families, sending frequent updates on nap and feeding times, school announcements, and more through our parent communications app. Every day, you’ll see photos of all the fun and engaging activities your child enjoyed.
Looking for ways your child can explore and build skills over the summer? The Gardner School offers Camp Gardner, a S.T.E.A.M.-focused summer program. This 10-week program presents daily learning activities in a relaxed summer camp environment that includes creative weekly themes, fun visitors from the community, and exciting outdoor activities.
The Gardner School partners with parents who want their children to be in a warm, nurturing environment that opens them to new experiences. With inviting classrooms, invested staff, and constant communication with parents, we’re the very best place for your child to learn who they are and imagine what they can become.
The most important story your child will ever write is the story of their own life. Give them a strong first chapter at The Gardner School. Our four Nashville-area schools are ready to welcome new families.
