Graceland is just over three hours away from Nashville. As a popular tourist spot in Memphis, it’s every Elvis fans’ dream to see his home up close. Now, the fan experience grows exponentially with the opening of Elvis Presley’s Memphis on Thursday, March 2. So, if you’ve been to Graceland and feel like you’ve been there, done that … think again!
Elvis Presley’s Memphis
The grand opening of the new $45 million dollar Elvis Presley’s Memphis boasts more than you could ever expect to see in one place. It’s nearly five times larger than the Graceland visitor center! The 200,000-square-foot state-of-the-art entertainment and museum complex features the largest Elvis exhibit in the world.
Inside Elvis: The Entertainer Career Museum, you’ll walk through the world of Elvis viewing gold and platinum records, his stunning jumpsuits, movie memorabilia and more. Even more exhibits are available to take you further into his history. Those include ICONS: The Influence of Elvis Presley exhibit, The Country Road to Rock exhibit, Mystery Train: The Sam Phillips exhibit, Fashion King, Private Presley: Elvis in the Army, Elvis’ Tupelo exhibit and more. Not only that, but you can also expect to see an all-new automobile museum (Presley Motors). This exhibit houses more than 20 of Elvis’ cars.
On site, you’ll also find a performance and meeting space and more. It’s located right across from Graceland (3765 Elvis Presley Blvd., Memphis).
With the grand opening, there will also be a new Ultimate VIP Tour at Graceland. Even though the first round of tickets for this have sold out for the Grand Opening weekend, they just opened up a few more spots. So, you’d better book your spot now! Otherwise, wait until the excitement over the opening has passed.
Graceland
There’s something new to see here, too! Graceland now has a $92 million dollar place to stay for visitors: Guest House at Graceland! The four-star, 450-room resort features luxurious amenities that would make Elvis proud. It’s also the largest in Memphis! The hotel scene is set with a home-like feel to reflect Elvis’ style, too. The Guest House at Graceland is located at 3600 Elvis Presley Blvd., Memphis.
