Kidsville Outdoors in the Park

Join for Kidsville outdoors in Centennial Park (2500 West End Ave., Nashville) on Saturdays in March. Families with children ages 12 and under can register in the lobby beginning at 10:30 a.m., and children will immediately be able to participate in activity & craft stations.
Upcoming Dates:
- March 28: Our friends from Vanderbilt University’s Dyer Observatory join us and offer kids a chance to look through their solar telescope and create a star map and play at the playground.
- April 4: Explore the outside delights of Centennial Park with Kidsville friends, Imagination Library for a playtime at the playground, book reading of Over in the Garden, and plant your own seeds to take home.
- April 11: Enjoy a storytime about The Parthenon, a history of reuse and recycling, then do your own creative reuse art, and play at the playground.
- April 18: Find us at the Nashville Earth Day festival in Centennial Park (11 AM – 5 PM)
- April 25: Join Kidsville friend and author, Rainbow Mosho as she reads her book, Adventures at the Zoo, and create sensory art inspired by the story and play at the playground.
NOTE: Events will be cancelled if temperature is below freezing or there is more than a light rain.
Full Activity Schedule:
- 10:30 – 11:20 AM: Free entry to Parthenon for Kidsville
- 10:30 AM – Kidsville activity stations open for play.
- 11:00 AM – Storytime or special guest programming in front of the statue of Athena.
- 11:45 AM – Kidsville activity stations close.
What to Expect:
Activity Stations: Explore hands-on activities between 10:30 AM and 11:45 AM. Let your kids dive into fun and discovery at their own pace.
Storytime: Gather in front of the Athena statue at 11:00 AM for storytime and an arts and crafts activity inspired by the book. We usually wrap up by 11:30 AM.
Important Info for Parents:
Arrival Time: Come between 10:30 AM and 11:20 AM to receive free Parthenon admission for everyone attending Kidsville. The program begins promptly at 11:00 AM and lasts for approximately 30 minutes.
Shared Space: Kidsville at the Parthenon shares space with Parthenon guests.
Registration: Registration is required and may be done online in advance or at the Parthenon beginning at 10:30 AM. We highly recommend registering in advance to skip the line and make your entry smoother.
