La Vergne Summer Carnival

The carnival is coming back to Veterans Memorial Park (115 Floyd Mayfield Drive, La Vergne) Aug. 28 – 31, from 6 – 10 p.m. on Thursday and Friday; from 1 – 5 or 6 – 10 p.m. on Saturday; and from 1 – 5 or 6 – 9 p.m. on Sunday. Enjoy classic foods like hot dogs, funnel cakes, cheese curds, candied apples and fresh-squeezed lemonade. They will also bring all their functional and available midway and kiddie rides, like the Ferris Wheel, Sizzler, Rock It, Fireball, Bee Bop, Tea Cups, Flying Elephants and Merry Go Round carousel. Armbands are available for unlimited rides and cost $25.
NOTE: that if you start using an armband at 3 p.m. it will only be valid until the end of the first session (5:00 p.m.). Individual tickets can also be purchased. They are $1, and each ride requires 3 – 5 tickets per person.
