About the Annular Solar Eclipse
Two solar eclipses are on the way in the next year. The first will be on Saturday, October 14, 2023. This eclipse is called an ‘annular’ eclipse. From the right spot, you’ll see an ‘annulus’ – meaning the Sun will look like a ring of light, with the Moon blocking out just the center.
The path stretches from Oregon to Texas. From Nashville, we will see 52% of the Sun blocked by the Moon.
