Description
Embark on a distinctly spooky voyage at Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage (4580 Rachel’s Ln., Hermitage) every evening, September 19 through October 31, at 6:30 p.m. Experience the mansion, grounds and cemetery by lantern light. Along the way, you will hear some of the tragedies and mysteries that befell the Jackson family, unusual experiences of Andrew Jackson and unexplained incidents. Learn more about the infamous Dickinson Duel, White House break-in during Jackson’s presidency, tomb robber and George Healy’s account of Andrew Jackson’s death. They even have accounts of ghost encounters on the site! Beware of eerie encounters, possibly even with President Jackson himself.
Tours also include a $3 wine tasting for guests ages 21+ from our Natchez Hills Winery tasting room. Recommended for ages 13 and up. Cost is $60.
