Kids and adults will marvel at European arms and armor during the Frist Art Museum’s “Knights in Armor” exhibit, opening Friday, July 1. The exhibit, from the renowned collection of the Museo Stibbert in Florence, Italy includes hundreds of rare objects. See full suits of armor, mounted equestrian figures, helmet, swords and other weaponry. In preparing kids to see the exhibit, read a couple of the books the Frist has assembled in a collection of family reading, available for download.
Head to the Frist through October 10 to catch the exhibit, housed in the upper-level galleries. The Frist is open Mon, Fri and Sat from 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.; Thu from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Sunday 1 – 5 p.m. Ages 18 and younger are free. Adults are $15; Seniors (65+) are $10 when purchasing in person. Military with I.D. are $8 when purchasing in person. College students (with I.D.) are $10 when purchasing in person.$$
