Try Hockey for Free is program for ages 4 – 8 that allows kids to give the game a try for one day only. It’s open to boys and girls, too. Basic equipment (helmet, gloves, stick, shin guards, and skates) will be provided at no charge. You can also bring your own if you have it. This program is through the Nashville Predators G.O.A.L! program, which typically takes place in Nashville. However, the program comes to Murfreesboro this month on Friday, Dec. 15 from 5 – 6 p.m. It takes place at the new, outdoor seasonal ice rink at the Fountains at Gateway during its Winterfest celebration. It’s open to kids who are not currently enrolled in any other hockey program — it’s for beginners who’ve never tried the game before.
Winterfest takes place at the Fountains at Gateway located at 1500 Medical Center Pkwy., Murfreesboro. Visit nhl.com/predators/community/youthhockey/goal-program to learn more about the program or to register your child. Sign up now before spaces fill up!
