A time-honored tradition at the Iroquois Steeplechase is watching the kids compete in the Michael Stanley Stick Horse Race to win a $100 gift card to Phillips Toy Mart.

All children 12 and under are free. The Family Area is located near the track for easy viewing. In addition, the area features free games and activities for kids accompanied by a parent.

What’s new?

The race continues to grow its Steeplechase Central area. This spot includes vendor shops, an art gallery, a full-service cash bar and food trucks. Tailgaters have six areas to choose from around and inside the track and can also add an equipment package upgrade to their experience. The equipment package includes a tent set up in your tailgating spot with a table, chairs and cooler.

Ticket changes for this year:

  • Sent digitally this year (two weeks prior to race day)
  • No need to pick up tickets at Will Call anymore
  • Parking passes must be printed and visible on race day as you approach the grounds
