Where Every Family Matters

Gilda's Gang 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run

Gilda’s Gang 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run April 6

Who will YOU be running for to support Gilda's Club of Middle Tennessee?

It seems everyone’s lost a loved one to cancer, but nothing will ever change if efforts to bring change aren’t made.
On Saturday, April 6, come out to support Gilda’s Gang 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run, an untimed, all-ages, all-abilities fundraising and community event at Shelby Park in East Nashville. Established in 2021, the first event drew more than 275 participants — a combo of volunteers, supporters and business leaders. Because everybody has someone to run for (this year’s event includes “I’m Running For” bibs with your registration), the community-building event is back for a fourth year.
You can register today for as little as $35 per person, with kids 12 and younger being free. Additional registration levels are for groups and sponsors ranging from $250 to $5,000. You can also choose to make a one-time or ongoing monthly donation. If you prefer to mail a check, send it payable to Gilda’s Club Middle Tennessee, 1707 Division Street, Nashville, TN 37203.
Gilda’s Club Middle Tennessee is a no-cost support and networking program that provides services, workshops, support and education to all people impacted by cancer, including those diagnosed and family and friends.

Gilda’s Gang 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run

The event is named in honor of Dr. Gail Addlestone, a long-time Gilda’s Club volunteer and staff member. Addlestone, a Nashville pediatrician, established  “Gilda’s Gang” which raised more than $1.3 million for Gilda’s Club between 2006 and 2017. Despite the loss of Addlestone to metastatic breast cancer in 2007, her legacy of service, hard work and determination lives on through events like this one.
