In the words of Ryan Gosling from the 2016 popular movie La La Land, "(Jazz) It's conflict and it's compromise, and it's just… it's new every time. It's brand new every night. It's very, very exciting!" Jazzmania 2019 takes place this weekend in Franklin, and it provides the perfect opportunity for your family to see Jazz live. Jazzmania is Nashville Jazz Workshop's Annual Jazz Party and Fundraiser, with all proceeds benefitting the Nashville Jazz Workshop, and supporting the Workshop's mission of enriching people's lives through classes, performances, and special events for the community.
It's no secret that Nashville's music scene is the best in the nation, so take advantage of it! Headlining this year's lineup is The Gerald Clayton Quartet, starring Gerald Clayton (son of legendary bassist John Clayton) on the piano. Also performing is the Lori Mechem Quartet, and the NJW Young Artist Ensemble. Whether you have kids who are interested in music or performing or are just looking for a night out with some friends and music, this is a great place to start. With the purchase of a VIP Patron ticket, you can meet Gerald Clayton with a special reception at 5 p.m. The Jazzmania will also include a live and silent auction, with great and unique prizes.
Jazzmanie 2019 will be held on Saturday, October 19th from 6 – 10 p.m. at The Factory on Franklin, located at 230 Franklin Rd, Franklin, TN. Tickets may be purchased here.
