The Williamson County Fair takes place next month (Aug. 5 – 13) at the Ag Center (4215 Long Lane, Franklin), but the deadline for entering children into the various pageants is Friday, July 29 (entries must be postmarked by this date!) A new division lets baby and toddler boys compete in the “Mister” division. Entry fee for pageant contests is $25 per child and the contests happen on Sunday, Aug. 7 during the fair.
Here’s what you need to know:
3 p.m. — BABY AND TODDLER CONTESTS
Arrival is 2:30; youngest division goes first.
Baby girl divisions are 0-12 months; 12-24 months. Toddler girl division is 2-3 years.
Baby boy divisions are 0-12 months; 12-24 months. Toddler boy division is 2-3 years.
5 p.m. — PETITE MISS (ages 4 – 6 on day of contest) & JUNIOR MISS (ages 10 – 12 on day of contest).
Arrival is 4 p.m.
For both divisions: Dressy dresses but no pageant wear, no rhinestones or sequins, no strapless, no heels, no makeup.
7 p.m. — LITTLE MISS (ages 7 – 9 on day of contest); TEEN MISS (ages 13-15 on day of contest); FAIREST OF THE FAIR (ages 16 -21; 16 but not 21 by December 31, 2016).)
Arrival is at 6 p.m.
For Little Miss: Dressy dresses but no pageant wear, no rhinestones or sequins, no strapless, no heels, no makeup.
For Teen Miss: Dresses can be long or short and can be a formal floor-length pageant dress. Makeup is allowed.
For Fairest of the Fair: Dress must be formal and a floor-length pageant dress. An interview dress will be required for an interview and should be worn on stage at the beginning of the pageant.
