As the weather begins to change, albeit slowly, it's becoming nice to be outside with the family. In Spring Hill, Pickin' in the Park is about as perfect of an event for an outdoor family outing as you can get in the Middle Tennessee area. Spring Hill's longest-running music festival is held five times a year with this Saturday, the 28th, being the last time to enjoy it in 2019.
The event was started by Spring Hill resident Matt Meyer in 2013, and has grown to become a staple of the Spring Hill community. The heart of the event is music and this edition of the festival will include performances from Grace Hopwood, Kelly Emerson, Scott Boyte, Bald Kernal, Goldie and the Mayors, and Wendy Stephenson.
Pickin' in the Park will be held at Harvey Park at 4001 Miles Johnson Parkway on Saturday, the 28th, from 5 – 9 p.m. The event is free, family friendly, includes a playground, and food options. Feel free to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and all the things necessary for a good time.
