Where Every Family Matters

This cutie will be available for adoption at Nashville Zoo on Feb. 8.

Music City Puppy Bowl Feb. 8 at the Zoo

Enjoy tail-wagging touchdowns and adoptable pups at Nashville Zoo.

Nashville Zoo’s popular Music City Puppy Bowl returns on Sunday, February 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Zoo will team up with Nashville Humane Association for the third year in a row to help them give puppies to a loving home.

How it Works

Music City Puppy Bowl takes place at the Ajax Turner Wild Works Amphitheater inside the Zoo, featuring two special games at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Each game will highlight one of two adoptable puppy litters in an exciting, 10-to-15-minute on-field showdown. Four adorable teams Team Claws, Team Paws, Team Howls and Team Growls will battle it out on the turf to see who reaches their end zone enough times to take home the 2026 Lombarky Trophy. Partners will be on-site throughout the afternoon to talk about local pet resources, local adoption opportunities, and the importance of spay and neutering.

Guests will be able to meet the adoptable 2026 athletes and learn more about all adoptable pets available at the Nashville Humane Association headquarters throughout the event. Make sure to plan ahead, as these puppies were adopted swiftly last year!

Souper Bowl Food Drive

In addition to this paw-some event, Nashville Zoo is hosting its annual Souper Bowl Food Drive in partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee to support Tennessee residents. Last year, Nashville Zoo collected 2,504 pounds of food resulting in 2,000 meals for Davidson County.

To continue supporting the community, Nashville Zoo is asking for donations of shelf-stable food. When the public donates four or more eligible food items, the Zoo will provide complimentary general admission tickets (max of two tickets per household/donation). The Zoo will collect donations from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6 and Saturday, February 7. All donations must be in a sealed container and no less than one month from the expiration date. Lastly, Zoo admission is not required to donate food.
