New Exhibit and Show at Center for the Arts

"Into The Woods" on the stage; and "Portals: Places Unseen" by Maile Lani in the gallery.

The Center for the Arts (110 W College St, Murfreesboro) presents its latest art exhibit, “Portals: Places Unseen” by artist Maile Lani. This exhibit will be open to the public starting Friday, October 13th through Friday, November 3rd in the center’s art gallery.

In addition, Rutherford County theater-lovers can enjoy Into The Woods showing Friday, October 13th through Sunday, Oct. 29. Enjoy everyone’s favorite storybook characters come to life and brought together for a timeless, yet relevant piece.

About Artist Maile Lani

Maile Lani is a self taught artist and illustrator with a love for color theory and a background in Asian art. Working with a variety of mediums, she blends surrealism with modernist elements to create dream-like imagery that has deep roots in the natural world. Her main source of inspiration comes from her upbringing in art and antique business, where-in her family has been collecting Japanese art for close to 40 years.
