Where Every Family Matters

New Free Winter Exhibit Opens at Monthaven

Free admission to view these historical works of art at the MACC Nov. 13 - Jan. 8.

Be prepared to marvel at the exemplary works of the Old Masters: Rembrandt, Goya, and Durer with this new free art exhibition at the Monthaven Arts & Cultural Center stating November 13th, 2022 through January 8th, 2023.

The exhibit comes with a new art class opportunity where students ages 7 – 11 will design their own mandala and then build/carve it out of clay and plaster. Mandalas are geometric designs that often rely on symmetry around a circle. In various spiritual traditions, mandalas are used as an aid in meditation. The beauty of mandalas lies in their symmetry, and the creation of mandalas is often associated with restoring inner peace.

Located at 1017 Antebellum Circle in Hendersonville, gallery hours are Tuesday – Saturday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 – 5 p.m. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
