New Free BHM Exhibit Opens at Monthaven

Free admission to view these works of art honoring Black History Month through Feb. 19 at the MACC.

Be prepared to marvel at Black and Blues: Works by Kreg Yingst & Leroy Hodges, a new free art exhibition open now through Feb. 19 at the Monthaven Arts & Cultural Center in Hendersonville.

This exhibit, curated by Michael McBride in honor of Black History Month, will feature more than 50 works by artists Kreg Yingst and Leroy Hodges depicting the many Black icons of the blues music world. The blues movement is important in the fabric of black culture.

In addition, attendees can enjoy five quilts that make up its Quilt Project: Home Heart Heritage.

Located at 1017 Antebellum Circle in Hendersonville, gallery hours are Tuesday – Saturday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 – 5 p.m. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
