The Discovery Center at Murfree Spring is a hands-on, environmental, cultural and educational museum (located at 502 SE Broad St., Murfreesboro). The museum is open Tuesday – Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Adjacent to the Center is the protected Murfree Spring wetlands, a natural habitat for a variety of fish, amphibians and birds.

Wallace & Gromit: Get Cracking! featured exhibit opens
Saturday, Jan. 21
Families will enter into Nick Park’s colorful character’s known as Wallace & Gromit. Park is the creator of the animation that is seen on both film and television.
Visitors will have the opportunity to step into the popular North England home of cheese-loving inventor Wallace and his loyal and intelligent dog, Gromit. In Wallace’s world, inventions and contraptions often go terribly – but hilariously! – wrong, providing a natural opportunity to explore themes around problem-solving and resilience.
