NYJE Jazz Fest 2024 April 27 in Hendersonville

Bebop to jazz all day long from area youth jazz ensembles during Jazz Fest 2024

The Nashville Youth Jazz Ensemble (NYJE) hosts the 4th Annual Jazz Fest on Saturday, April 27 at The Streets of Indian Lake. The free event, happening rain or shine at the outdoor stage (inclement weather will move the Fest indoors), bring lawn chairs for the all-day affair happening from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. The Nashville Youth Jazz Ensemble is made up of students in grades 8 – 12. The group performs throughout the year at various events.

Jazz Fest

Jazz Fest includes performances from several area high school jazz groups and more. Schools scheduled to perform include Beech High, Hendersonville High and Hendersonville High Jazz Choir. In addition, Mt. Juliet Middle School, Pope John Paul II High and Westmoreland Middle and High schools will take the stage. Groups outside of schools performing include School of Rock Hendersonville, The Nashville Youth Jazz Ensemble Marvels, Sensations and Lab Band. Special artists include Brad Goode on trumpet, Jeff Phillips on trombone, the Nashville Jazz Orchestra and radio personality Jeff Shannon.

The event is free and open to the public. The Streets of Indian Lake is located at 300 Indian Lake Blvd. in Hendersonville. The outdoor stage is located in the open air mall with plenty of space for chairs and blankets.
