Is your girl a math wiz or science guru? Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) offers its annual Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) in Science and Mathematics Conference — and registration is open! This hands-on conference is STEM focused and aims to help girls consider careers in STEM. It takes place Saturday, Sept. 28 from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. It's available to girls in grades 5 - 12. There are two different schedules that groups the girls in grades 5 - 8 and grades 9 - 12. Workshops vary from aviation with Dr. Wendy Beckman; genetics with Dr. Rebecca Seipelt; physics; chemistry and more.

This year's keynote speaker is Cheryl Holdaway of Newell Brands, Manchester. Ms. Holdaway is also known as the Sharpie Chemist.

Cost is a $20 non-refundable registration fee. The registration fee covers all materials including a lunch (two slices of pepperoni or cheese pizza and a beverage).
