Where Every Family Matters

Rutherford County Summer Reading Events

Parents are encouraged to bring their children to the kick-off parties and sign up for the summer reading programs.

Young readers across Rutherford County are invited to participate in exciting summer reading events.

The upcoming summer reading event aims to engage children and teens while fostering a love for reading. Plus, kids can win an array of prizes for reading throughout the summer!

The summer reading programs prevent the “summer slide” by keeping children intellectually engaged during their break from school. Through a variety of reading challenges, storytimes and special events, the libraries aim to create a fun and educational experience for all participants.
