It's time to hunt some eggs! Kids and adults will “hunt” hundreds of eggs filled with candy and toys.

A Special Needs Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Tuesday, March 28th. The Egg-stra special hunt takes place at Mary’s Magical Place at Veterans Place (144 Scotch Street), part of Hendersonville Parks.

The hunt consists of three sessions highlighted below. Most notably, Session 1 is for children with sensory issues (difficulty processing feelings, smells, sounds, etc.) and/or mobility issues (such as  requires a wheelchair, walker, foot/leg braces, difficulty walking or standing, etc. ). Kids should bring their own basket or bag for egg collection.

Rain date is Thursday, March 30th.

How to Register:

Registration is happening now and continues through March 24, 2023 by 4:30 p.m. All children must be special needs and be pre-registered to attend. Each session has a max of 30 registrations.

Sessions:

  • Session 1: 3:30 – 4:15 p.m. (max 30 registrations, reserved for those with sensory and/or mobility issues)
  • Session 2: 4:30 – 5:15 p.m. (max 30 registrations)
  • Session 3: 5:30 – 6:15 p.m. (max 30 registrations)

* Max of two adults will be allowed inside the playground with registered children
