These amusement parks are always fun, but they're even more festive for Halloween!

Just when you think the fun of the amusement parks has ended … think again! You can still visit your favorite amusement parks during limited days and hours through the month of October! They’ve got so much going on in the spirit of Halloween … aside from the usual thrills of coasters and rides.

Visit Six Flags Over Georgia for all the fun rides as usual, then stay late and take advantage of all the haunted attractions it has to offer. Enjoy haunted mazes, scare zones, live shows and the Rage of the Gargoyles Virtual Reality Coaster. Visitors can also see spooky shows, treats for little ones and more. Only kids 12 and younger are allowed to wear a costume to the park. Bugs Bunny Boomtown Spookytown Harvest Festival gives little ones a chance to play on the playgrounds and enjoy some spooky arts and crafts, festival foods and paint-your-own pumpkin. You can also purchase your Fright Fest tickets along with your Haunted Attractions Pass at discounted rates online, so plan ahead!

NEW: This year, Fright Fest features seven new attractions, including two blood-curdling scare zones, four terrifying haunted mazes and one frightening good show.

NEW FOR 2017: Six Flags St. Louis is celebrates 30 Years of Screams during Fright Fest 2018 with the 30-Hour Coffin Challenge. If you think you can spend 30 hours in a coffin, register online. It happens Oct. 13 – 14!

The older kids will enjoy the six different mazes, six scare zones, five spooky shows (some the younger kids might like) during Cedar Point Haunt. Little kids can enjoy The Great Pumpkin Fest, a family-friendly daytime event featuring Halloween-themed live shows, a pumpkin patch, a hay bale maze, trick-or-treating, a magical fun house and more. Halloween shows are plentiful, and  kids can also participate in a costume contest.

NEW THIS SEASON: Three new Hallow-tween mazes are up that are appropriate for ages 14 and younger.

This year boasts 12 acres of corn mazes, a 3D movie featuring Holidog (the park’s mascot) and Carnival Chaos for older kids, a Mummy’s Treasure Maze and more. The Carnival Chaos is a maze filled with clowns. See how far you can make it before you get really creeped out. Everyone can enjoy a live show in Graveyard Smash, too. Your child can also wear a costume, but it must be G-rated and no masks. They also have 12 acres of corn mazes and hayrides!

NEW THIS SEASON: Venture into SCAREbnb to experience Marilyn’s Mansion, Holiday World’s new family-friendly funhouse. Other guests have already arrived – Dracula’s Den is occupied by visitors who flew in early, Frankenstein is stretched out for a nap, a werewolf plays the piano, and … what’s that smell in the kitchen? There’s also the incredible Holidog’s 3D Halloween Adventure in the Holiday Theater. Pop on your 3D glasses and help Holidog find his Halloween candy in this colorful funhouse!
