The wonder of children’s storybook illustrations come to life in a new way at Cheekwood. Storybook Houses is a new outdoor exhibit running May 1 - Sept. 1.

You’ll find a re-imagining of five childhood classics in whimsical playhouse form, each inspired by a particular children’s illustrator:

“Oh, The Places You’ll Play” (Dr. Seuss)

“Hill Top Garden” (Beatrix Potter)

“Charlotte’s Barn” (Garth Williams)

“We Are Wild” (Maurice Sendak)

“TRAINS!” (Loren Long)

The “TRAINS!” playhouse — featuring a slide, platform and more — will be a permanent addition to the Trains! exhibit located in the Turner Seasons Garden.

Cheekwood is located at 1200 Forrest Park Drive, Nashville. Hours are Tue - Sun 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Admission is $20 adults, $13 ages 3 - 17, free ages 2 & younger.
