A global breastfeeding awareness and support day happens Saturday, Aug. 5 during The Big Latch On.
Locally, the Nashville Breastfeeding Coalition, Tennessee Breastfeeding Coalition and Baby+Co are teaming up to host the event. The whole family is welcome.
THE BIG LATCH ON: WHAT TO KNOW
Women, babies, partners, families, kids and community members can enjoy a variety of activities taking place on the lawn in front of Baby+Co at 3212 West End Ave., Nashville.
Registration opens at 9 a.m. The first five families to arrive will get a pair of Nashville Sounds tickets. Blooma Nashville hosts a family yoga session at 9:30 a.m. The Big Latch countdown is at 10:30 a.m., where nursing mothers can participate in a global breastfeeding session at the same time with millions of moms around the world. A Nashville Puppet Truck show immediately follows.
