The Nashville Symphony 2018-19 Season!

Mark your calendars, Nashville Symphony lovers (and who isn’t?)! Our Grammy-winning orchestra announces its full 2018-19 lineup. Season tickets are on sale now. There’s lots of good stuff on tap.

ESPECIALLY FOR KIDS

Formerly the Pied Piper Series, special concerts for kids and their parents are now The Ann & Monroe Carell Family Trust Family Series. New for the 2018-19 season, ALL of the Family Series concerts will be sensory friendly. For these shows, Nashville Symphony offers a more relaxed atmosphere for all ages with accommodations for those with autism and other sensory sensitivities.

One hour prior to showtime, there are free children’s activities in the Schermerhorn, including the wildly popular musical instrument petting zoo, crafts and other fun.

The Family Series lineup features four installments:

Dec. 1, 2018 β€” The Grinch & Christmas Sing-Along
Feb. 9, 2019 β€” Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Missing Melody
April 20, 2019 β€” Once Upon a Time … A Symphonic Fairytale

There’s a lot to look forward to with the Nashville Symphony’s FirstBank Pops Series, kicking off with a Broadway star:

Nov. 29 – Dec. 1, 2018 β€” Martina McBride: The Joy of Christmas
Feb. 7 – 9, 2019 β€” The Music of John Williams
March 28 – 30, 2019 β€” Dennis DeYoung & the Music of Styx
May 9 – 11, 2019 β€” ABBA the Concert

SPECIAL EVENTS FEATURING THE NASHVILLE SYMPHONY

“In Concert” movies at the Schermerhorn are big hits with families. It’s an amazing experience to watch favorite films in HD while the Symphony performs the scores live. There are two on the slate so far for next season along with other special offerings:

Dec. 13 – 16, 2018 β€” Handel’s Messiah
Feb. 14 – 15, 2019 β€” Valentine’s with Chris Botti

May 31 – June 3 β€” Carmina Burana with Nashville Ballet

There is a lot more to look forward to including the Aegis Sciences Classical Series, Jazz Series, Blakeford Coffee & Classics Series and special presentations, including the popular Halloween Movie Night. This year, it’s on Tuesday, Oct. 30 featuring the horror classic, Phantom of the Opera.
