IT'S OPENING WEEKEND!!! The biggest and longest-running of Middle Tennessee's county fairs boast nine days of family fun. This year's Midway is bigger than ever with 52 rides, including 23 Kiddie Rides (new this year are the Mini Carousel and Min Tea Cups), 15 Major Rides, five Spectacular Rides and nine Super Spectacular Rides. New to the fair this year are the Mutton Busting kids' rodeo competitions and the Eudora Farms interactive live animal adventure (kids can ride a camel, too!). There are lots of livestock shows, games and some of the best fair food around. Kids Night is Thursday, Aug. 22. Ages 3 - 8 can compete in the battery power ride toy race, an there's also a pedal push tractor toy race.
