Theater lovers take note! TPAC brings an amazing slate of musicals to Nashville for its 2017-18 Broadway series, including a four-week return engagement of the smash hit Wicked.
Eight shows comprise the regular Broadway series with four exciting add-on productions. During an announcement event held at TPAC’s Jackson Hall on Tuesday, April 11, TPAC President/CEO Kathleen O’Brien kicked off the evening addressing “the 11-time Tony-winning elephant in the room.” No, Hamilton hopefuls, the Lin-Manuel Miranda musical is not in the mix next season, but O’Brien says her team is working on getting it to TPAC as soon as possible.
However, here’s a Hamilton appetizer to tide you over — Leslie Odom Jr. who originated the role of Aaron Burr will perform a night of music at TPAC on Tuesday, Aug. 15 (tickets go on sale Friday, April 21).
