Get ready, theater-lovers! Another season of Broadway in Nashville is on the horizon with Tennessee Performing Arts Center’s announcement of its 2022-23 HCA Healthcare/TriStar Health Broadway at TPAC season. featuring seven Nashville premieres and the return of Hamilton (full season announcement below).
The 2022-23 Broadway at TPAC season lineup includes:
- To Kill A Mockingbird, (Aug. 9 – 14), Academy Award winner Aaron Sorkin’s adaptation of the Harper Lee’s Pulitzer-Prize winning play. Pretty Woman: The Musical, (Sept. 27 – Oct. 2), based on the hit romantic movie
- Hadestown, (Nov. 1 – 6), winner of eight 2019 Tony Awards including Best Musical.
- Six, (Feb. 21 – 26), a celebration of 21st Century girl power as the six wives of Henry VIII remix 500 years of historical heartbreak
- Ain’t Too Proud – The Life and Times of The Temptations, (March 21 -26), the journey from the streets of Detroit to fame
- Disney’s Aladdin, (May 2 – 7), a new production filled with magic and spectacle from the producers of The Lion King.
- 1776, (June 20 – 25), a new production of the Tony Award-winning musical, reexamines a pivotal moment in American history
- Les Misérables, (Jan. 10 – 15), the Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon is a special add-on presentation to the season
TPAC is excited about the coming productions.

July 26 – August 7, 2022
The story of America then, told by America now. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway, this is the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton in a revolutionary moment in theatre. With book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail and choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, the show is based on Ron Chernow’s acclaimed biography. It’s the winner of the Tony and Olivier Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and a special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors.
Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird
August 9-14, 2022
Emmy Award winning actor Richard Thomas playing the role of Atticus Finch in the National Tour and direction by Tony Award winner Bartlett Sher. The show has quickly become “one of the greatest plays in history” (NPR).
Pretty Woman: The Musical
September 27 – October 2, 2022
Based on one of Hollywood’s romantic stories starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, this show’s creative team is led by two-time Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell (Hairspray, Kinky Boots, Legally Blonde). The productions features an original score by Grammy-winner Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance (Summer of ’69, Heaven).
