DESCRIPTION:Cheekwood’s annual festival of flowers honors America’s 250th anniversary with a spectacular sea of 250\,000 red and white tulips\, purple-blue violas and hyacinths. Plus on select weekends\, enjoy live jazz as talented student musicians from Vanderbilt University’s Blair School of Music perform in the gardens. It all happens March 7 – April 12. \n \nCheekwood in Bloom Details\nCheekwood is open six days a week from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. for the festival. Cost is $20-$29 for adults\, seniors and students; $13-$22 for ages 3-17; members get in free.  Capacity is limited\, and tickets must be reserved online in advance. DESCRIPTION:Tots and their guardians can enjoy drop-in style hands-on activities and storytime (10\, 10:45 and 11:30 a.m.) in the Bracken Foundation Children’s Garden at Cheekwood (1200 Forrest Park Drive\, Nashville) on Tuesdays – Saturdays through May from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Plus\, join a member of the garden staff for a crowd favorite\, Turtle Talks\, as they feed the turtles and answer questions about the Children’s Garden’s shelled residents at 11:45 a.m. Each week’s theme is inspired by current exhibitions or seasonal festivals\, encouraging exploration of art and the natural world.
