DESCRIPTION:The annual Middle Tennessee Highland Games & Celtic Festival takes place on Saturday\, September 6 and Sunday\, September 7 at Sanders Ferry Park in Hendersonville. \nThis annual festival brings together families to celebrate the Scottish and Celtic traditions — some of which played a part in settling the state of Tennessee. Past attendees have even found a piece of their own ancestry after talking with some of the 60 Scottish families/clans at the festival. \nThere will be a full slate of music\, including solo piping\, drumming and pipe band competitions. In addition\,  national touring bands and local artists will play throughout the day for a full weekend of music for attendees to enjoy.  \nFor the kids!\nTickets include a kids’ cultural activity area with mini Celtic games\, crafts and activities\, including: \n\nStorytime with Merida – 10 a.m. & 2 p.m.\nDragon-themed crafts\, stickers and temporary tattoos\nKids athletic demos including caber toss\, haggis toss and sheaf toss\nGames including tug of war\, kids golf and archery\nFace painting
