WCPR to Host Kite Festival March 5

Are you and the kiddos ready for a windy adventure? Grab some kites and reach the highest heights.

Williamson County Parks and Recreation (WCPR) is excited to once again partner with Chicago Kite Company to host its annual Kite Festival on Sunday, March 5 from 1 – 4 p.m. at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Road. 

About the WCPR Kite Festival

Come out and see the skies filled with giant kites. You can also enjoy watching professionals kite flyers perform stunt kite demonstrations with kites of all shapes and sizes. Individuals and families are encouraged to purchase or bring their own kites to fly in the Family Flying Zone. The Chicago Kite Company will be on hand so you can purchase single, dual and quad kites, windsocks, garden spinners and flags. The festival also includes music, entertainment and other activities. Concessions from on-site food trucks will be available for purchase.

Join for this free, family event. Overflow parking is available at Cheek Park behind Franklin High School with  shuttle service available, or take the walking trail over to the Recreation Complex.
