When to Watch
The 2024 Paris Olympics will officially start on Friday, July 26th at 1:30 p.m. with the opening ceremonies. Due to the crammed Olympic schedule, the opening ceremony for soccer and rugby will be held on on July 24 and July 25. The events will end on Sunday, August 11. The following are Olympic competitors from the state of Tennessee:

- Rhyne Howard from Chattanooga will compete in the women’s basketball (3×3)
- Erika Connolly from Knoxville all compete in the women’s relay only athlete (swimming)
- Gretchen Walsh from Nashville will compete in the women’s 50m freestyle and women’s 100m (swimming)
- Alex Walsh from Nashville will compete in the women’s 200m individual medley (swimming)
- Harrison Williams from Memphis will compete in the men’s decathlon
- Seth Rider from Germantown will compete in the men’s individual triathlon
- Wes Kitts from Knoxville all compete in the men’s 102kg (weightlifting)
- Olivia Reeves from Chattanooga will compete in the women’s 71kg (weightlifting)
In addition, former LaVergne High School track standout and current student-athlete at Middle Tennessee State University John Sherman III will be competing in the Paris Olympics. for team Liberia’s 4×100 meter relay team.
