The academy-award for best picture may have gone to Gone With the Wind in 1939, but The Wizard of Oz can’t be beat in the kid recognition department. So! Head to the Schermerhorn Symphony Center this Friday, June 17 to see Dorothy, Toto, The Wicked Witch, Glinda, the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion and all the rest of the magical characters in the beloved tale in full HD with the Nashville Symphony performing full orchestrations live. Tickets range from $39-$79; the performance starts at 7 p.m. The Schermerhorn is located at One Symphony Place, Nashville, 37201.
