Easter Egg Hunts for Kids in 2026!

Hippity hoppity, Easter is COMING! Find a community Easter egg hunt near you in Middle Tennessee. Grab the kids and the baskets and go huntin'!

There are plenty of community Easter egg hunts for kids in Middle Tennessee this March and April. Most of the hunts feature appearances by Peter Cottontail, so be ready for great photo ops and make sure your kids bring Easter baskets to collect eggs.

Approximately 36,000 filled eggs can be discovered during hourly egg hunts for all ages on April 3 – 4 at  Cheekwood (1200 Forrest Park Dr., Nashville). The two-day celebration includes food trucks, musical performances and more. Plus, go on a scavenger hunt to find the larger-than-life bunny murals hidden in the gardens (created by Nashville artists). Tickets are (for gardens only) Adults $24; ages 3 – 17 $17; ages 2 and younger are free.

Hop into spring at Nashville’s wildest egg hunt at Nashville Zoo (3777 Nolensville Pike, Nashville). Activities during the day include egg hunts for kids, face painting, keeper talks and themed animal enrichment. Tickets: Non-member adult and teens $27; non-member children $23. Members are free.

 


Easter Bunny Express

SATURDAY, APRIL 4 | 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
TENNESSEE CENTRAL RAILWAY MUSEUM, NASHVILLE

TICKETS REQUIRED

Come ride on a restored classic streamlined stainless steel passenger train with the Easter Bunny. The train departs from Tennessee Central Railway Museum (220 Willow St., Nashville) in the morning and returns before dark. On the 90-mile round trip, the Easter Bunny will visit each car for photo ops! Then, during the layover in Watertown (enjoy lunch and shopping on the square) kids can participate in Easter Egg Hunts. Tickets are $30 for kids under age 12; $55 for coach and $120 for dome. Boarding begins at 9 a.m. Train departs at 10 a.m. and arrival back in Nashville is 5 p.m.

This Egg-stra special hunt takes place at Mary’s Magical Place at Veterans Place (144 Scotch Street), part of Hendersonville Parks. The hunt consists of three sessions: Session 1 (3:30 – 4:15 p.m.) is reserved for children with sensory and mobility issues. Session 2 (4:30 – 5:15 p.m.) Session 3 (5:30 – 6:15 p.m.) A maximum of two adults will be allowed inside the hunt with their registered children. Bring baskets for egg collection. Rain date is Thursday, March 30.
