Experience the creative talents of local students by making your way to Monthaven Arts and Cultural Center. The 43rd Annual Sumner County Student Art Exhibit is on display now through Sunday, April 14.
The exhibit features the artwork of students from all Sumner County middle and high schools. The works represent a variety of mediums, including oil, acrylic, pencil and digital art.
On Sunday, April 14, Monthaven hosts artist receptions and awards. The middle school session is from 2 – 3 p.m., and the high school session takes place from 4 – 5 p.m. Judges will acknowledge "Best in Show" works, with awards going to the winners. Furthermore, all participating schools and teachers will be recognized with cash awards to go toward their art programs.
Monthaven is located at 1017 Antebellum Cir., Hendersonville. Gallery hours are Tue – Sat 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Sun 1 – 5 p.m. Admission is free.

Shortly after the Sumner County Student Art Exhibit wraps, be sure to head back to Hendersonville's signature art gallery for CHEATING COMPLACENCY: A riot of color, wild ideas and dreams. The exhibit runs April 19 – May 5. It will showcase the works of more than 20 members of the Monthaven Arts Society. A reception with the artists takes place Sunday, April 28 from 2 – 5 p.m.
