Welcome to the fair! Enjoy nine days of fun for all ages including great food, music, rides, games and competitions at the AgExpo Park (4215 Long Lane, Franklin). In addition, check out the return of fair favorites like the Children’s Barnyard and daily entertainment like Robocars, the Butterfly Garden and more!

Are you ready for some great family fun? The 2026 Wilson County Fair + Tennessee State Fair returns at the James E. Ward Agriculture Center in Lebanon, better known as the Wilson County Fairgrounds. There will be livestock shows, motorsports events, music on six stages, all kinds of exhibits, Fiddlers Grove Historic Village where you can step back in time and see demonstrations of years past, over 60 carnival rides for children and adults and all kinds of entertainment located all over the Fair.

Exploring some of her most beloved nursery rhymes, the magical Mother Goose invites little ones to join in with each classic rhyme’s story.
Mother Goose at Nashville Children’s Theatre

Jump into the magical world of Mother Goose with your youngest learners as she takes little theater-goers through a silly, laugh-out-loud version of her typical day. The show runs inside the Copeland Studio at Nashville Children’s Theatre (25 Middleton St., Nashville). Recommended for ages 0 – 5.


Splash Days continue at Nashville Zoo every Saturday in August.
Summer Splash at Nashville Zoo

Head to Nashville Zoo (3777 Nolensville Pike, Nashville) and the Festival Field for a water wonderland! Enjoy slip & slide fun, animal-themed sprinklers, a bubble zone and splash pools for littles. The theme for this Saturday is ICEE Samples!

Lowe’s DIY-U Kids’ Workshop
Saturday, Aug. 15 | 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
FREE; register online
Cruise into participating Lowe’s locations with your mini DIYer for this month’s kit! They’ll provide all the parts needed to roll away with a fun, hand-built toy that kids can really play with.

Wishing Chair Puppet Show: Tall Tale Circus

Come out to the Children’s Theatre on the second floor of the downtown Nashville Public Library Main branch (615 Church St., Nashville) to see Pecos Bill, Calamity Jane, John Henry and Johnny Appleseed in a musical extravaganza for the whole family. The show happens on Fridays and Saturdays through Aug. 22. You may even see a big blue ox … if you’re lucky!

Make Suncatchers at the Country Music Hall of Fame
Saturday, Aug. 15 | 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Included with admission; free to members
Young artists will create their own colorful suncatchers, inspired by the signature stained-glass windows at the Ryman Auditorium, at the Country Music Hall of Fame (222 Rep. John Lewis Way S, Nashville). Recommended for ages 8 and up.
