The Nashville Fair fills out The Fairgrounds Nashville through Sept. 20, celebrating the United States’ 250th anniversary with “Fun for the Whole Country!”
The Nashville Fair
Friday, Sept. 18 | 4 – 10 p.m. (Midway from 5 to 10:30 p.m.)
Saturday, Sept. 19 | 1 – 10 p.m. (Midway from 12 to 10:30 p.m.)
Sunday, Sept. 20 | 3 – 10 p.m. (Midway from 12 to 10:30 p.m.)
$10 for adults, $8 for children and seniors, kids 5 and under are free
The Nashville Fair returns to The Fairgrounds Nashville (1815 Nolensville Pike, Nashville) through Sunday, Sept. 20. The regional multi-day fair features live entertainment, arena events, agricultural know-how, competitions and special events galore in addition to a carnival and Midway rides.
Check out the massive pumpkin patch, corn maze and farm activities starting this weekend at Lucky Ladd in Eagleville.

Disney On Ice glides into Bridgestone Arena (501 Broadway, Nashville) with the brand new show, “Spotlight Magic!” Hosted by Mickey and friends at a glamorous Hollywood-style gala, the show features more than 30 characters, spectacular aerial acrobatics, an active red-carpet pre-show and special feature debuts. Enjoy acts from Tangled, Moana, Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., Zootopia 2, Beauty and the Beast and more.

Soundsational Kids Day at Smyrna Outdoor Adventure Center

A Year with Frog and Toad at Nashville Children’s Theatre

Hear the story of a friendship that endures throughout the seasons at Nashville Children’s Theatre (25 Middleton St., Nashville). Based on Arnold Lobel’s well-loved books, and featuring a score by Robert and Willie Reale, this whimsical show follows two great friends – the cheerful, popular Frog and the rather grumpy Toad – through four fun-filled seasons. The two best friends celebrate and rejoice in the differences that make them unique and special. Recommended for grades K – 8.
It’s a hold up! Take in the action this Saturday on a train ride from Tennessee Central Railway to Watertown and back.

Ride a restored classic passenger train from the Tennessee Central Railway Museum (220 Willow St., Nashville). The Mackle and Wilson Gangs attempt to hold up the train en route to Watertown and get into a tussle in Watertown with the US Marshall! Act I takes place on the eastbound trip and Act II takes place on the Westbound trip. Each Act is about 7 minutes long since the actors repeat the play in every car on the train.
Got a truck-lover? Bring them out to operate real construction equipment this Saturday at the Comer Barn in Gallatin.
Dozer Day
Saturday, Sept. 19 | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
$10 in advance, $15 day of event
Experience the thrill of operating dozers, backhoes, loaders, digging for real treasure and more at the Comer Barn (2310 Nashville Pike, Gallatin). The event is tailored for kids age 2-14 and allows them to operate heavy equipment alongside trained operators.
Meet costumed characters like Daniel Tiger and Miss Elaina at this free, family-friendly community event celebrating kindness, neighborly connection and community helpers.
Nashville PBS Be My Neighbor Day!
Saturday, Sept. 19 | 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Nashville PBS will host Be My Neighbor Day as part of the annual African Street Festival at Hadley-Lillard Park (1037 28th Ave. N, Nashville). Meet costumed characters Daniel Tiger and Miss Elaina, plus enjoy hands-on activities, books and family resources. The broader African Street Festival features live music, local marketplace vendors, diverse foods and cultural arts.
Baby goat cuddling is available at the farm every Saturday through Nov. 28 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Admission $12 per person; children 2 and younger are free
Head to Noble Springs Dairy Farm (3144 Blazer Road, Franklin) to spend time kid goat cuddling and meeting other farm animals. You can pet and cuddle kid goats and enjoy spending time on the farm. Plus, plan on joining a guided educational tour at 11 a.m., if you’d like.
