Live music, brats and other German foods (and more), beer, arts and crafts, a kids’ zone and special events make it Nashville Oktoberfest! Special events include the 25th annual Bier Run on Saturday morning, brat eating contests, beer stein holding contests, a Pup Parade on Saturday at 2 p.m. (dress up your dog!) and, of course, the Dachshund Derby on Sunday at 3 p.m. It all starts Thursday, Oct. 1 at 5:15 p.m. and it continues through Sunday, Oct. 4 at the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park (600 James Robertson Pkwy., Nashville). Register for the Dachshund Derby here. Thursday and Friday until 4 p.m. is free; general admission for Friday after 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday is $10 for ages 4 and older.
