Don’t you just love Earth? Come celebrate our planet at the 24th annual Rutherford County Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the historic public square in downtown Murfreesboro.

Rutherford County’s Earth Day Celebration aims to educate and mobilize the community into action. The event features plenty of activities, booths and demonstrations for the whole family. In addition, expect awesome music sets from:

10 a.m. – Steel de Boro

11 a.m. – Everybody Drum Some

12 p.m. – Olivia Frances

1 p.m. – Quarterlife
Plus, Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation and the Smyrna Outdoor Adventure Center have partnered to offer a free Kids Zone. The Kids Zone is geared for children of all ages and will feature an inflatable, yard games and hands-on activities. There will also be a scavenger hunt for all ages. Everyone who completes the scavenger hunt will be entered into a drawing to win one of several prizes.

- “Plant a Seed” station with Smyrna Outdoor Adventure Center
- Face painting by Adriana
- Step Inside the Bookmobile with Rutherford County Library
- Yard games (Jenga, Connect Four, Cornhole) and Pretend to Paddle in a Kayak!
- Inflatable obstacle course
- Hands-on activity station with Discovery Center at Murfree Spring
This year’s theme for participating booths and vendors is “Our Power, Our Planet,” highlights the importance of harnessing clean energy to build a sustainable future.
