You’re in luck: “The Great Big Game Show” is a an experience in Nashville (first launched in 2023), developed by the creators of The Escape Game. It’s located in Opry Mills, and it’s garnering enthusiastic praise from reviewers. Designed in the style of a classic game show, the studio features a big spinning wheel, buzzers, physical challenges, trivia and more. Your experience is like being on a TV game show, just without the TV.
“The Great Big Game Show” Deets
While “The Great Big Game Show” offers a completely different kind of location-based experience. Rather than racing against the clock to solve puzzles, participants are divided into two teams of up to six players. The teams go head-to-head in a series of classic game show-style challenges to score the most points during a 60-minute “show.”
Teams are composed of pre-booked groups (ages 6 and older) or matched with other guests who sign up for the same time slot. The gameplay draws inspiration from well-known and even lesser-known television game shows. In addition, games vary in format and difficulty. Team members contribute based on individual strengths — whether in trivia knowledge or physical dexterity.
According to staff, the experience includes a large pool of possible games, so repeat visits may feature entirely different activities. A combination of familiar formats, physical challenges, and elements of chance helps maintain suspense throughout. Teams that perform well in trivia may find their lead overturned by unexpected outcomes in luck-based games. From Round 1 trivia to Nerf-gun shootouts and physical “minute-to-win-it” challenges, the fun is lead by an energetic host who keeps everything moving along and entertaining.
