CANOE THE CANEY
Four trips currently available in canoes or kayaks include a three-to-five hour excursion on the Caney Fork River; a Hidden Falls excursion for a six-mile round trip run on Center Hill Lake; a one-and-a-half hour excursion on the Caney; or an Upper Caney Lake (Center Hill) paddle of six-to-nine miles. Tube a three-mile Nashville route from Newsom’s Mill to Hidden Lake State Park. Tubes include back rests and cup holders. Enjoy linking straps and optional paddles.
TIP-A-CANOE
Located on the Harpeth River in Kingston Springs, this outfitter has been family owned and operated since 1972. Choose two-and-a-half, three-and-a-half or four-and-a-half trips by canoe or kayak. There are no age limits, but you must be able to walk. Bring a life jacket for children under 30 lbs; all children 12 and younger must wear one.
